AVIATION ENGAGEMENT SESSION - PHX, AZ
As I pull out my buzzing phone from my pocket, I see a new inquiry for an engagement shoot. I lightly skim through the email and feel my eyes get cartoonishly big and my mouth drop. Bri, driving, is asking what the email says and with excitement cracking my voice I read off the email:
“Hello, I have seen your work on social media and your website and absolutely love your work…My fiancé is an Airforce pilot and we really want photos on base in front of my fiancé’s airplane an on the runway…”
We about lost it and quickly read the rest of the message eager to respond. Shortly after, Alexis and I start planning the shoot and meet at Starbucks to go over details. We talk logistics of her engagement shoot and her wedding next year. In the same venue her parents got married, Alexis is planning on having a vintage airplane theme which perfectly coincides with this shoot.
A couple days after, Alexis and Eric check me in at the base and we head out in a speedy golf cart. We cruise by giant fighter jets and head to the end of the runway. I unpack my gear and we head to his viper parked in an open space. We take some incredible shots while the sun peeks through gaps of clouds all around us. Alexis and Eric looked so comfortable posing and we really had a good time shooting together.
Overall the photos came out way better than I had ever expected, and I am so proud to have delivered such a captivating gallery. I can’t wait to shoot with them again in a year on their big day!
